Pinging Red-Alt worked – now why aren’t I pinging ping-o-matic – I’ve reduced my ping list to just red-alt and ping-o-matic for this post and will then check it with their tool!

Now trying to ping Red Alt as they have a Pingomation Tool for testing pings.

The page seems to be hanging – so I’ve reduced the sites to ping to just a couple and add a ping no-wait ping WordPress plugin – not sure if that will make or break it, but it’s worth a try! So here goes again!

It would appear – according to Simple Thoughts that using the whole of Elliot Back’s list is way too much for WordPress and it times out – so I’ve reduced it to 5 for this post and we’ll see what happens!

Elliot Back’s list of site’s to ping is here (although my system doesn’t seem to be pinging at the moment – can’t work that out – may have a play with it (amongst all the other things I’m trying to do).

I’ve installed Shortstat for WordPress as recommended here but it lacks an awful lot – I either need to write on or rely on the stats within cPanel
