I have no idea what Gavin Henson’s boot studs are called!?!?! As an Ireland fan I suspect it could be anything – although I particularly like the idea of him calling his studs “Taff”…

Ah well, you can get more info on Gavin Henson (and the rest of the Welsh boys) at the WRU Site.

Gavin Henson had an outstanding RBS Six Nations debut slotting the 44 metre penalty to secure Wales’ first win against England in six years. He also picked up an RBS 6 Nations man-of-the-match award for his endeavours. A regular in the side since the autumn tests, where he scored a Welsh record 14 conversions against Japan, Gavin Henson made his Wales debut in 2001 against Japan at 19.
He joined Swansea from Brynteg School and stayed with them to become a Neath-Swansea Osprey, where he has recently signed a new four year contract. He was switched to inside-centre by Mike Ruddock after previously playing at full back and No.10 for both region and country.
He is a former IRB World Young Player of the Year and helped Wales to an U21 Grand Slam in 2003. A week after the Wales Grand Slam of 2005 he won the Celtic League for the first time with the Ospreys and will be hoping to start for the British & Irish Lions when he tours to New Zealand with them in the summer of 2005.
